Daily PCS Report Upload Guide
Introduction
This guide provides detailed instructions on how to upload PCS reports daily. It includes steps for handling four key reports: two analytics exports (BTR and QA), one marketing report, and a hub export that updates the members' dashboards. By following these steps, you will ensure that all necessary reports are accurately processed and uploaded.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Preparing the Analytics Reports
The first task is to prepare and upload two analytics reports, the BTR and QA.
Go to the print reports section and select the analytics report under project management.
Run the BTR report:
- Set the report date as today.
- Use a custom date range from 01-01-2025 to 12-31-2025.
- Apply filters: tracking description excluding "canceled", project template as BTR, and activity ID not as "service con A".
- Click 'Print Selected' and choose to output to a file in Excel under the C drive's PCS upload folder.
Open the saved Excel file, remove any blank lines, and save it as a CSV (comma delimited).
Repeat the process for the QA report by changing the project template from BTR to QA. Follow the same steps to save it as a CSV.
Uploading the Analytics Reports to AWS
Log into AWS via OneLogin and navigate to the S3 bucket for analytics reports.
Drag and drop the BTR and QA CSV files into the "collective-analytics-pod" intake folder. Confirm successful upload.
Preparing and Uploading the Marketing Report
Remove the analytics report from selected reports and choose the hub export with "marketing_export" description.
Set the date range to 01-01-2023 to 12-31-2025, apply the necessary filters, and save the file as CSV after making required replacements in Excel.
Upload the CSV to the "collective-tax-csv-prod" folder in AWS, ensuring it replaces the previous day's file.
Preparing and Uploading the Hub Export
Select the hub export report, set the date range, and apply the necessary filters.
Save it as MS-DOS CSV and upload it to the hub via the client app sync interface.
Storing Files in Google Drive
Drag and drop all files from the local folder to the Google Drive's "historical uploads" folder.
Clear the local directory to prevent duplication.
Conclusion
By following this guide, you have successfully prepared, processed, and uploaded the necessary PCS reports. This ensures that all data is current and accessible for analytics and dashboard updates, maintaining the integrity of the reporting system.
