Downloading Video Files with Subtitles

This guide will walk you through the process of downloading video clips with subtitles using Justice Text. By following these steps, you'll be able to create video files that include hard-coded subtitles, making them suitable for presentation in trials or exhibits.

To begin, ensure you have created a clip in Justice Text. If you're unfamiliar with creating clips, it is recommended to watch the tutorial on clip making.

Once your clip is created, it will appear below the video on the right side. Click on the name of your clip to proceed.

In the top right corner, you'll see a download button. Clicking this will open a menu with several options. The first option allows you to download the video without subtitles.

To download the video with subtitles hard-coded onto the video, select the top option. This will append the subtitles directly to the video file.

Once the video is downloaded with hard-coded subtitles, it will be easy to display the video with subtitles visible on the screen. This is useful for presentations or trials.

During the downloading process, it is important to keep the window open until the operation completes. You will see a notification in the bottom right corner reminding you to keep the page open.

As the process progresses, a progress bar will appear. Wait until it reaches 100%, at which point a button will appear allowing you to download the file.

Once the download is complete, click the "click to download file" button to save the video file locally to your computer, typically in your downloads folder.

If you wish to download the entire video with subtitles, click on the purple export button located in the top right corner. Then, navigate to the video section and choose to include the subtitles hard-coded onto the video.

After the hard coding is completed, you will again need to click the download button once prompted to do so.
