Submitting Tax Requests via Zendesk and JIRA

This guide provides instructions on how to submit tax requests using two different methods: through Zendesk and via a form submission linked in the tax request channel.

This guide applies to all users responsible for submitting tax requests within the organization.

Use Case

This procedure is used when a tax-related issue or request needs to be officially documented and tracked through the organization's ticketing systems.

Workflow

Step 1: Form Submission

  1. Access the form submission link provided in the tax request channel in Slack.

  2. Fill out all required fields marked with an asterisk (*) in the form.

  3. Submit the form to generate a new ticket.

Step 2: JIRA Ticket Submission

  1. Open JIRA and create a new issue.

  2. Set the project to "tax".

  3. Optionally, add yourself as a watcher or assign the issue to someone else (note that there is a rule to unassign automatically).

  4. Complete the summary and description fields with the necessary details.

  5. Ensure any relevant attachments are included in the thread.

  6. Click "Create Issue" to finalize the submission.
